Vegetarian Aca Burrito
Now for the very first in my series of restaurant reviews....
On a trip to Chico I made it a point to visit Aca Taco, one of the various Mexican eateries in town. As in many college towns, Chico restaurants often feature menu items that are vegetarian friendly, even in restaurants where you wouldn't typically find vegetarian offerings. The "Vegetarian Aca Burrito" is one such item.
This burrito is available in two sizes "Chico" and "Grande" . It comes filled with rice, sauteed vegetables including: potatoes, zucchini, and carrots, and your choice of black or pinto beans. A part of me wonders how truly "vegetarian" this meal is though. I know that only the black beans are vegetarian for one thing, but I wonder about the rice. I think I tasted a hint of chicken broth. Being that I am not a vegetarian I don't really have an issue here but, just in case someone does I am putting it out there..
Nonetheless, the vegetarian aca burrito is a delicious and filling alternative to a traditional, meat-filled burrito. I have been on a hunt for a similar burrito in the Sacramento area, but so far have had no luck. Does anyone know of a place?
To sum it up...
Where: Aca Taco in Chico, Ca
Ordered: Vegetarian Aca Burrito with pinto beans and a side of chips. (I think it came out to around $6)

Welcome
Supper Club meets weekly to try out restaurants in the Sacramento area. Here I will post my reviews of these restaurants. As for the rest of the week, I will post pictures and recipes of the food that I make at home.
